About this Cook
I am a new wife, with one dog. I am a full-time interior design student. I love to cook but, with my husbands unpredictable work schedule, it's gotta be quick.
My favorite things to cook
I love italian food, throwing a bunch of fresh vegies with pasta. I love to grill, I don't even let my huskband grill (he's too impatient and burns everything). I love making simple foods with a little extra something. My mom spoiled me as a kid with everything homemade, and my husband was the exact opposite! It's really fun introducing him to new food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom has always been a great cook, she makes the best homemade chicken and noodles!
My cooking triumphs
Anything that my husband actually SAYS he likes. He'll eat anything but, it's definately a keeper if he says he likes it without me asking!
My cooking tragedies
I was making this chicken dish that had peppers with adobo sauce, when i threw the adabo sauce in the pan, it smoked so bad, with a strong vinegar twing in it. I smoked everybody out of the house, it stunk for days. I tried to make the snickerdoodles that my mom is famous for. I put them in the oven way too long because they weren't getting any browner. I never tried them, but later that day my dad about broke his tooth on them. My dog wouldn't even eat them!

Tex-Mex Tilapia
Very light and refreshing. I kept the jalapenos in large pieces so they were easy to pick out, and they still lent their spiciness to the dish.

Raspberry Oatmeal Bars
Yum! So good and so easy! My father-in-law said it's the best dessert I've ever made...he's so easy to please! I will try using lemon cake mix next time, soundsn delicious!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken
This was just ok. I expected the chicken to becomed carmelized with the sauce, but didn't at all, resulting in a chicken thigh swimming in butter and garlic, with a salty twang from the soy sauce. Kinda boring and bland.
