Orange Cranberry Drops
these are delicious - though I agree with some of the reviews that said that they are on the sweeter side. next time I'll use a little less sugar (white, the brown stays). They are also a liiiittle cakey, but that's why we love them so much. Oh and I used orange-flavored craisins, and skipped the essence - worked just fine.

Russian Tea Biscuits
these are very simple, not excessively sweet and full of hazelnut flavor. I added some baking powder (as much as salt) and they puffed up lightly + tasted delicious.

Marshall Islands Macadamia Nut Pie
This is the first pie I ever made (we don't have them in Europe) and it was excellent - I happen to like that it was not overly sweet, yet full of flavor. Just one thing: it took 15-20 minutes longer to bake than the recipe said it would. A little confusing for a first-time pie baker like me, but it all turned out well in the end and everyone else liked it too. Try hazelnuts as a replacement for the macadamia - also great!
