About this Cook
Some of my closest friends call me Turbo b/c I'm always on the go. Whenever I have a free night, I love to cook up a big meal. The company I work for owns quick-casual delis so I see alot of cool ideas & concepts in the magazines I read and it always keeps me inspired. Whenever I'm in a doctor's office, I sift through the magazines for recipes and rip them out as quiet as I can. Food is an addiction and now that I've passed 30, it's starting to show.
My cooking triumphs
Hosted a couples baby shower for 80 people; the couple of honor was my boyfriend's best friend and his wife. There were family members, coworkers, old friends, etc. and I wowed them all w/ all the appetizers & hors d'ouevres. Someone even asked me to cook for their wedding (not a chance).
My cooking tragedies
In high school my family had my soccer coach over for dinner and I did all the cooking. The cold cucumber soup was a flop and I got made fun of for a long time by my siblings. That's as bad as it gets really.

Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta
After being out in the cold rainy all afternoon, this hit the spot. I didn't bother substituting fat free half n' half for the cream - just went full fat.....and it was delicious. No alternations were necessary for a comfort meal.

Butternut Squash Ravioli with Sage-Brown Butter Sauce
Filling was good, though I added some brown sugar to take the edge off the other spices. We thought the ravioli came out slimy. May try again but would fry or bake them. Sage butter sauce was delicious - loved the taste and the texture of the sage. If they hadn't come out a slimy, mushy mess I would have given it 5 stars.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs
Not as much flavor as I expected - could not taste any ranch at all. Not a bad recipe, but not necessarily worth the prep time.
