Bacalhau a gomes de sa( Acod and potato casserole...every Christmas eve we get together with about a million relatives and we do a pot luck with all our traditional foods
My cooking triumphs
I call it the rice from hell but it is the Portuguese version of paella called Arros a Valenciana.
My cooking tragedies
A too soft yule log cake that was very difficult to frost. With company coming.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries
These were very easy. I followed the recipe exactly except that I used semi-sweet choc. I had large strawberries tooth picks would not hold them ,I used small kabob skewers...they worked. Thanks for the recipe.

Too Much Chocolate Cake
I baked 2 of these cakes this past week end I followed the recipe exactly, I baked them in a solid bottom tube pan, I slice them in threes one I filled with fresh whipped cream and strawberries and chocolate frosting on top. The family love it. The second cake for my book club was filled with choc frosting and frosted with more chocolate frosting. Yum.Easy evryone wants the recipe.

Ladyfinger Lemon Dessert
I made this recipe for some a lunch, the ladies loved it. It was light and refreshing I used real whipped cream sweetned with powder sugar and a little vanilla. It was light and refreshing everyone loved it. I ended using two packages of lady fingers I also lined the bottom of the pan.The presentation was beautiful I used the star tip and pastry bag to top it . Thank you for sharing recipe
