I was born in Michigan and have lived there, Southern Mississippi, Western North Carolina, Georgia and Miami, Florida so I've had the pleasure of tasting many different styles of cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make speciality things. Omellettes are a favorite of mine. I am fairly efficent in the kitchen. I like doing Asian dishes, Mexican, Southern, and Italian. I have a favorite Corn Bread Dressing that I love to make for the holidays.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother was born in Michigan, but learned at an early age to make Southern style dishes (Thanks to my sourthern Father). My aunt is a southern style cook as well.
My cooking triumphs
I guess my Cornbread/Bacon Dressing is my favorite. It has a few ingredients, but the end result is always a hit during the holidays.
My cooking tragedies
I want to make the PERFECT omellete - with all the extras. I just can't seem to make it fluffy enough for me.

Reuben Sandwich I
This is a great recipe and actually the one my office cafeteria uses. They grill the bread seperate on a bread grill, and the meat on the griddle, folding/layering the cheese between the slices of pastrami. They slice it in half and add potatoe chips (sour cream and onion for this) and this is the lunch I eat once a week at least!
