Currently I am a stay at home mom and a student, I have 3 kids 8, 4 and 3 months, and my hubby's a truck driver, I love to cook but i have limited space right now so my cooking has been limited to the quickest and easiest thing available and LOTS of microwave cooking, hopefully soon i will have a space with more counter space.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are probably Mexican and chicken, and i am really starting to like my slow cooker better too!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, since my mom's side of the family is swedish, i really like to cook swedish foods (especially the meatballs my grandmother makes!)I also love some of the greek dishes that were served at our greek festival back in Jamestown.
My cooking triumphs
I have conquered baklava and stuffed grape leaves, although they were VERY time consuming, but they were fun to make and at the party i took them to they were a hit. Also the dinner i made for my grandmother's birthday one year (and i was about 15 years old at the time)was french onion soup, chicken cordon bleu, and some other things i can't remember right now, but it was the biggest thing i had ever done on my own, aside from Thanksgiving dinner 5 years agi,,, I did it, turkey and all, without the help of family, it was my favorite thanksgiving because i had so many different things to serve.
My cooking tragedies
I haven't really had any cooking tragedies, unless you count the candy apples i couldn't get right no matter how hard i tried... candy is one of my difficult areas i would LOVE to conquer.
