About this Cook
I'm just beginning college this fall in New York. I cook for pleasure, whenever I don't like what's for dinner. I bet allrecipes will come in handy whenever I want to stir something up that the dining hall doesn't offer!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking things I like to eat. This means salads, pasta, grilled foods... I also love baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
During Christmas we always have so many Polish dishes being made from pierogi to my mom's potato salad and then the poppy seed sweet salad (that one comes just once a year). Polish food may not be my favorite, but it's a time for all of us to bond in the kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
I make some awesome brownies!
My cooking tragedies
I once made tortilla soup, trying to mimic the max and erma's one. I tried making it all fancy, but I ended up wanting to vomit!

Baked and Poached Tilapia
This was a little odd. I'm not a fish person, so maybe that's why. But I thought it lacked flavor and that the marinade was a weird combo. But true- much better than fried fish. I give it a 3.5.

I always bake these for school and for home and they're the first things to go.

Chicken Tortilla Soup III
Since this was a five star recipe, I thought it would be delcious. I was wrong. I was nauseated. The half-and-half was too heavy, and it lacked the taste of traditional tortilla soups. Not enough spice.
