Cucumber Sunomo

This is a really good basic recipe for sunomono. But for my family's taste, it calls for WAY too much vinegar. I cut it down to 1/4 cup of rice vinegar (actually just a tiny bit less. I only fill the 1/4 measuring cup about 3/4 of the way) and I only use 1 tsps of grated ginger root. I also sprinkle sesame seeds on it and pour a little bit of soy sauce over it to give it a little more flavor. For us, it is perfect :o)

Campbell's® Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

This was so good! But it needs a few minor adjustments. First (and this is a must), instead of water I used chicken broth. I think with all that water it would've been pretty bland. I also added salt and pepper to taste and I sprinkled paprika on the chicken. I also used minute rice and it cooked perfectly. I thought it was pretty darn tasty and it's soooo easy. I highly recommend it!

Easy Deviled Chicken

I thought this was just okay. I scaled down the recipe to just 2 and there wasn't enough mustard/mayo mixture. Maybe that's why it didn't turn out as good. I had to coat the chicken sparingly. If I try making this again I'll add more mustard because it tasted way too much like mayo. I also substituted the stuffing mix with Italian seasoned bread crumbs.

Baked Spaghetti

This was very good! The only minor changes I made was no aluminum foil lining and I layered sauce over the spaghetti and another layer over the ricotta cheese. I also cut down the parmesan cheese. My husband and I really enjoyed it!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

I know this recipe gets great reviews, but these were just okay to me. They were really sweet, a little too sweet for my taste. They tasted a lot like the brown sugar. They were pretty easy to make though and I had no problems with them being too dry. I noticed a lot of 1 star reviews because there was too much flour. I just blended them for a few extra minutes and the batter blended just fine with the 3 cups of flour. They were very "cake" like though and they got hard very fast. We have to put them in the microwave for a few seconds before we can eat them. They were okay, most likely won't make them again even though my husband liked them :o)

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

This is one of the best recipes I've tried on Allrecipes.com! It was wonderful! Since I only made this for 2, the amount of soy sauce was perfect. But I could tell that if I made this for 4 that it would be extremely salty. I marinated the pork chops in the mixture for 5 hours in a zip lock bag and it was perfect. I also cooked them for 30 minutes instead of 40. Perfect!

Green Bean Stir-Fry

These were delicious!! I highly recommend this to anyone! The only changes I made was I cut down the oil to 1 tablespoon and I added about 4-5 shakes of a tabasco sauce bottle to give it a little kick. I might add a tiny bit more tabasco next time though. I think this recipe would be great to stir-fry chicken in as well! I hope to try adding some chicken with the green beans sometime soon!

Chicken In Sour Cream

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! I normally don't like dill weed, but this was quite good. My husband liked it a lot too. I'm not a fan of chicken thighs, so I will be making this again but with chicken breasts. It was so quick and easy and I wouldn't change a thing! Loved it!

I love this recipe! It's so easy and it's so tasty! It's great for a quick and easy side dish. I increase the vinegar and oregano a little bit, but that's cause I love balsamic vinegar. This is a definite must try!

Herbed Broccoli Spears

I thought this was very tasty!! It's so quick and easy. I didn't have onion salt, so I used onion powder and added some salt. I also skipped heating it in a skillet. I steamed the broccoli and mixed all the other ingredients together, then put it in the microwave for 30 seconds to warm it up. Very easy and very tasty!

This was pretty good. Next time I try it, I'm going to cut back on the soy sauce just a bit. I didn't have reduced sodium, so I used regular. It was a bit on the salty side. Not bad though!

Last Minute Mushrooms

Holy moley were these salty!! To try to save these mushrooms I added a tablespoon of white wine and few shakes of dried parsley. They were still salty, but not nearly as bad as before. If you make this I HIGHLY recommend cutting back on the seasoned salt. If you try it as it is and you taste it while cooking and it's too salty, add the white wine. It'll help.

Easy Indian-Style Chicken

This was so good! I have zero complaints about this one. It was incredibly easy and so tasty. The recipe says the chili paste and cayenne pepper are optional, but be sure to add it. It gives it great flavor. In my opinion it wasn't spicy at all. I'm not sure what cumin SEED is or if it's the same thing, but I just used ground cumin. Very delicious!

Spanish Rice Bake

Classic Red Velvet Cake

I was terrified to try Red Velvet cake due to all the horrible outcomes I read about. I'm proud to say that it didn't turn out too bad! It was a tad dry, but not to the point where it was crumbling. Next time I try this I will do what another user wrote, add a little more shortening. The recipe says to alternate adding the dry ingredients with the buttermilk. This is so important. I alternated and blended very well before adding the next. The batter came out smooth and creamy. The end result was good, just a little bit dry. I'm happy with the results though!

Honey Mustard Carrots
