I enjoy cooking a variety of different things. I love experimenting with different recipes and finding one's that are "keepers" that my kids enjoy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I enjoy cooking big holiday meals for my family. When i was a child my mom did the same and she always made all holidays special because of this.
My cooking triumphs
When I am able to cook something that both my 14 year old son and my 9 year old daughter BOTH give a thumbs up to. That is when i know i have really done somethin!!! :)

I made this recipe but substituted a combo of onion salt and onion powder for the onion (because my kids don't like onion) and used cheddar jack cheese (because that's what I had on hand). It was very delicious. The burgers were very juicy with a hint of cheese melted in them. I will make it again. My daughter didn't think it tasted any different from my regular burgers but I could tell the difference in the juiciness and even a slight hint of cheese taste and she ate over half of her burger this time which is unusual for her.

Three Bean Salad
This was very tasty. I didn't have onion or celery seed so I omitted those ingredients but the recipe still turned out delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

Garlic Croutons
This recipe was pretty good. Not exactly what I was looking for though so I will continue to search for a crouton recipe that meets my expectations.
