About this Cook
I am a stay home mother of 2 who loves to try new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Cakes, cupcakes and pasta dishes are a favorite!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always make muffins every saturday morning with the kids. They love making special muffins for each other to try.
My cooking triumphs
I baked my first cake when I was 33 and it was horrible! I tried again 2 months later, tweaked it a little and everyone loved it!
My cooking tragedies
My best friend gave me a recipe for a "pink" sauce to use on my pasta. I was 7 months pregnant and trying to experiment with my cooking. The recipe called for heavy whipping cream, which I had no idea what it was. I bought sweetened cond. milk, added it to the sauce and it was disgusting. My husband ate it all because I cried the entire night over my disaster. He even went back for seconds! What a guy.

Southwestern Style Twice Baked Potatoes
I made these to go along with a southwestern flank steak and they were so yummy! I did cook the peppers and onions first before adding them to the potatoes as someone had suggested. I don't think I would've liked them raw. They were a huge hit and a new favorite! Thanks!

Honey Butter Yule Ham
This was amazing! And so easy to do. I used an injector too and it made the ham so moist and flavorful. The ham was gone in minutes and even my 9 year old loved it. He wanted it as a snack the next day! I would highly recommend this recipe. But, use the injector to get the flavor throughout the ham.

Poor Man's Caviar
YUMMMMM! I made this for a cookout and it was a huge hit! I made it with the Itallian dressing also which made it really good. I added a small amount of red onion, cilantro and squeezed fresh lime to finish it off. It was gone in no time and everybody wanted the recipe. Thanks!!
