I noticed the salt went in right along with the other ingredients. This causes the beans to be tough. I never add salt to beans until they are cooked. It makes a big difference. My mother-in-law taught me this many, many years ago when I was first married and asked why my beans didn't turn out as good as hers.

Spaghetti Sauce Mix

You are gonna love this recipe. It makes the best sauce, better than what you can purchase and easy to do. I make pizza sauce with the same mix by adding it to tomato sauce and not quite as much water as for spaghetti sauce.
