Best Farmers' Market Pimento Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
I love this as a base, but I used 3 T. light mayo and only 1 T of worcestershire sauce. I am not a huge pimento fan, so I used roasted red peppers to sub. I also added a little yellow mustard and a few drops of hot sauce. Love it!( Okay, I changed it a tad.. :) )

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
I think with tweaking the ingredients, you can increase the flavor quite a bit. I used 3/4 C. of brown sugar and a full teaspoon of cinnamon. Great recipe!

Loved these...I was out of brown sugar, so I used white. I also added 1 T butter to the sauce before tossing. We all enjoyed it!

Pork Chops with Sour Cream and Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
This is a good base. I seasoned the chops with garlic salt, rosemary and garlic blend. I also added a small sliced onion with several pats of butter. Then, I used one can instead of two can of cream of mushroom and added water. The sauce was great. Served over jasmine rice.

Turkey in a Smoker

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
Excellent! We made this for Thanksgiving this year and it was incredible. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of the 2 cans of coke. I used approximately 1/2 can. The drippings helped to make the best gravy I have ever made. Can't wait to make it again!

Whit's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
We loved these! Spray your 9x13 with Pam and pour a little cream into the dish before you place the rolled enchiladas in the dish. I cooked some covered with foil for the whole thirty mins. and some uncovered. These were softer but the others were just a little crunchy on top. I used colby/monterey jack cheese and added a little salsa to the cheese/chicken sauce. I also used half and half to save a little on calories..ha..ha..

Mexican Blackened Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
I had to use frozen yellow & white corn b/c fresh was not available. I did not add beer nor could I find the cotija cheese at Target. I used Montery to sprinkle over. With my substitutions, it was still great. Great new side dish I am thankful for trying! It goes great with enchiladas! Yum!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Delicious! This is amazing. I used about 1/4 C. homemade salsa in place of the tomatoes. I used half of the lime and think it would be better with less, but that's just my taste! So good; must try!

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Yum! I don't fry many things and noticed half way through much of the crust was sticking to the pan. I am not sure if it was my pan or my margarine I used instead of butter, so I grilled the others. I didn't add any coating to the ones that were grilled. I lightly seasoned them with garlic salt and pepper. Then I baked all of them with the sauce. I decided to reduce the sugar by 1/4 C. and it was perfect for us! Love the flavors! I liked the ones that were fried, but the grilled ones had a good crisp to them as well. I think I will grill all of them next time and have less clean up.

Wedding Gift Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
This was nice. I left out the stick of butter and sauteed the onions and garlic with the meat when it was cooking. I tried to drain off some of the grease to make it less greasy. I added 1/4 C. brown sugar to sweeten it a tad. I think I would add less water as a personal preference. Thank you for sharing!

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Excellent! I haven't made these in years. Took the advice of one of the reviewers to mix the sausage and flour first. I used an 8oz. package of shredded colby/cheddar and grated the other 8 oz. These are the best I have eaten. Very soft, not dry and flaky. I also used Jimmy Dean sage sausage. Use a good quality sausage- that makes a huge difference in taste! Also, use a large bowl or pot. I started in my large bowl and had to put in a pot, so I could mix everything thoroughly and evenly. These are perfect to make for breakfast on the weekends and keep some to heat up on school mornings!

This is the best recipe I have tried to oatmeal cookies. To have them chewy in the middle, just roll into balls-don't flatten. They cook perfectly.

Chicken Puffs

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
This is great with some modifications! To only use 2 chicken breasts and 3 packages of dinner rolls seems like too much bread. I only used one clove and half of the butter to saute to onions and garlic. Add milk to the cream cheese mixture to make it thinner to coat the chicken. It takes a little longer to cook the crescent rolls to avoid being soggy in the middle. I used 4 -5 chicken breasts and only two packages of crescent rolls for a dinner portion. It goes great with steamed asparagus!

Wonderful recipe- I used less oil and soy. I didn't have time to marinate long but the flavors were great. Can't wait to try it again and let it marinate longer.

Classic She Crab Soup

Good flavors... used chicken broth in place of fish stock for personal preference..Also added a bay leaf and old bay. I made extra roux to thicken the soup- very thin without it. Not exactly what I was looking for,but very good.

Easy and so good. I used about 1/4 cup or less of oil and light ranch. Very flavorful. I think you could use less salt easily!
