My hubby and I are from St. Louis, living in Nebraska. I work part-time so I have plenty of time to experiment with recipes and meal plans. Since we live in a very small town, I love to attempt to recreate restaurant style foods that we can't get here. I have a lot of fun with appetizers because who doesn't love appetizers? One tradition we've picked up is making LOTS of food when we have guests. My dear mother-in-law always makes a ton of food for company. I enjoy following her example of hospitality and putting out a huge spread for friends and family. I've recently developed a taste for fish, and learned how to cook it so it's edible! My favorite fish recipe thus far is one I found here: Broiled Tilapia Parmesan. Broiled or baked, it's delicious! I've had a few disasters. Angel food cake is one that comes to mind. I think it literally blew up in my oven.
