About this Cook
I live in Savannah with my husband. I love to find new recipes. One of my favorite things to read is recipes. I try to cook a few new recipes every week. My husband I both work so we try to find recipes that we can have during the week, but still eat at a reasonable time.
My favorite things to cook
I like baking, but I do not do it enough. I can't pick anything in particular that I enjoy more than another. We tend to prepare simple recipes during the week, I really like making more complex meals on the weekend.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mostly holiday cooking
My cooking triumphs
Three layer cake, pound cake (that actually came out of the bundt pan), Hawaiian bread- they have been most difficult for me and the most rewarding.
My cooking tragedies
I forgot to put sugar in a chocolate torte when I was dating my husband, but it looked great!

Crispy Orange Beef
We really liked this recipe and I will make it again. Next time I will do what others have said and only stir fry in a tablespoon of oil to cut back on calories. The sauce is fantastic!

Cowboy Chicken
Not too exciting, but okay. I would not use as much brown sugar next time. I thought it was too sweet. I think I would use this again and chop up the chicken to use in burritos or quesadillas.

Italian Green Bean Chicken
We really enjoyed this dish. I only added one can of tomatoes and that was more than enough. It is healthy and has plenty of flavor. We will make this again.
