This is awesome! When it was cooking in the microwave I was scared that it wouldn't come together smoothly but I just stirred it together and it became smooth and wonderful! I did add salt and butter as suggested and it made a huge difference! I also added coconut extract to make it taste like an almond joy! I love the strong chocolate flavor but it can be overwhelming so I mixed together Fage 2% greek yogurt with vanilla and splenda and a little Cinnamon and layered the pudding and the yogurt. It was a great balance of flavors! :)

I make this all the time but I've never heard of calabacitas with half and half or any kind of milk. I add chicken (brown it in the same pan before adding all the veggies) and red pepper flakes for a slightly spicy complete meal and serve it over rice.

Try adding some basil to a well seasoned butterflied grilled chicken instead of using deli chicken.

I've been making these forever but I never cut them in half. I make a T incision, leaving the top on, seed the peppers, stuff them and wrap them in a slice of thick bacon. If you stuff the pepper whole, the cheese won't come out and you can cook them a little longer so bacon gets really crispy and the pepper gets tender.

It wasn't great and I wouldn't call it BBQ sauce. It tasted more like shrimp sauce to me. I had to add a lot of things to make it less sweet. I added garlic salt, ginger, pepper flakes, soy sauce and lime juice.

I was able to put this together at the end of the month when food is running low. We had to skip the corn and onions. I ran a couple of garlic cloves a can of tomatoes and Italian seasoning through the blender and used that instead of the canned sauce. It was great with the corn bread and a side of mashed potatoes. We added cheddar cheese.

It's very yummy! I recommend using uncooked flour tortillas. Just make sure you run them under warm water before trying to wrap them. They are not pliable straight out of the fridge. The water will make them pliable and sticky so the burrito will not come apart when you try to fry it. Uncooked tortillas also fry up better then cooked.

The combination of flavors is wonderful but I had to add garlic salt to the chicken, it was too bland without it.

They were great I loved the sauce. I added some minced onion and fresh cilantro to the meatbals, just cause i always do. I only made 1/3 of the original and I was able to get about 15 meat balls out of it. That was enough for about 3-4 people. I served them on top of buttery white rice with sweet corn. This recipe is a keeper :).

Def keep the horseraddish ..its what MAKES the salad. I've made it for years too. While its not the prettiest thing ever it is delicious!

If you want it to be crispy just add saltine cracker crumbs. You can either use a blender, or just put them in a plastic bag and let out some aggression with a rolling pin or some heavy object. :) hope that helps!

I read all the reviews before i made this cake and i decided to add a few things. To the batter: I added an extra square of unsweet chocolate. I mixed in a cup of pecan peices, a cup of coconut flakes, and about half a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chunks (ok ok ok .. maybe a little more then half). Then i decided it was proboboly going to be VERY rich and i chose a whipped cream topping instead of the caramel which didnt really appeal to me in the first place. I used the Stabilized whipped cream iceing from this site. To decorate the cake i toasted the remaning coconut flakes as well as about 1/3 of a cup of pecans (i crushed them a little bit) and i used that mixture to coat the cake by just patting it gently into the iceing with my hand. IT LOOKED SOOO PRETTY!! and then i melted some of the semi-sweet chunks in a plastic bag and drizzeled a thin stream of chocolate all over the top! It looked and smelled soooo amazing! its the best cake i've ever attempted! thanks for the recipe!

I tried this 3 times. But i didnt put the gelatin in the microwave for 3 min. because it bubbled up after 30 seconds and made a mess. So what i did was just watch it until it started to bubble and then i let it cool for about 10 min. and that worked fine the first and third time but the second time i tried it i didnt wait long enough for it to cool and the cream got all lumpy and seperated so i think the key is just to make sure the gelatin is cool enough. If anyone can explain why its important to leave the gelatin in the microwave for the full 3 min I'd thank you very much bc if it makes a big difference i will have to try it again in a bowl big enough so that it doesnt spill over when it boils. OH! and anybody who is gonna make this should know that it is only enough for a small one layer cake. I iced a 2 layer cake and one cup of cream was only enough to ice the sides, that is why i had to make the extra batches. Good luck everyone!
