Meatless Loaf
I'm another one of those with a meat-loving husband who didn't believe it wasn't real beef! We thought it was delicious. I agree that the amount of onion soup called for it too much; in fact, I'm just going to use my usual old-fashioned meatloaf recipe in which I put in a can of diced tomatoes. I used a 10 oz. can for a double recipe. I noticed that one reviewer gave the recipe one star because the directions called for beef and onion dry soup. The person stated that made the recipe non-vegetarian. There is no such thing as beef and onion dry onion soup. There is a beefy onion mix, but it contains no beef. It apparently means 'heartier' onion soup. Too bad, if it was the case, that the reviewer gave this recipe a one star just because of that issue. It wouldn't be a fair judging of a very good meatless loaf.
