About this Cook
I'm a working Mom so I'm always on the lookout for quick, easy, and nutritional recipes for my family. I love to spend the summer riding my motorcycle and I can spend hours and hours in the grocery store buying healthy foods to cook.
My favorite things to cook
I love rice and find that it is often the basis for many of my creations. I am also of the belief that there isn't anything that can't be done with chicken. I'm not a huge dessert fan, but I could hurt myself on a good Mexican meal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a few family staple recipes that I make a lot, but when I have the time and the ingredients, I love to create new things in the kitchen. I have a willing family to experiment on so we have lots of fun thinking up and trying new things.
My cooking triumphs
Any new experiment that turns out good is a triumph. I rarely stick to recipes though and it is often hard to recreate the same meal twice.
My cooking tragedies
I once made a birthday cake for my son that I tried to frost too soon. The cake was still warm and the whole thing slid apart. Not only that, the layers split and cracked. I had wanted to create a thing of beauty and that didn't happen. I cried when it all fell apart, but my son, ever the diplomat, just dumped a bunch in a bowl, put ice cream on top and declared it delicious.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf
Wow, this made me toss my grandmother's meatloaf recipe! This was by far the easiest, moistest, and most flavorful meatloaf I have ever had. I used 2lbs of ground beef and 1/2 cup ketchup and then everything else as written. We have a new family favorite!

Bob's BBQ Sauce
This was really good! Works great on the BBQ grill and good for dipping at the table. I used it in the crock pot too, on a nice brisket. Good all around sauce.

Famous Restaurant Alfredo Sauce
This was a good start. I added 1 cup of parmesean cheese and upped the half and half to a cup and cut the cream cheese to 1/2 cup. A little fresh garlic and this was delicious!
