My favorite things to cook
Anything and everything. I enjoy trying out new recipes on family and friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My girls and l started the tradition of making a desert called Ambrosia every Christmas. No matter how much you eat at dinner there is always room for this. They also have a favourite cookie that I make and they decorate every Christmas, Norwegian Iced Spiced Christmas Cookies.

Sesame Beef Bites
We liked this recipe but I did it a bit differently. I used a cheaper cut of steak but still marinated it for the same amount of time. Instead of cubing the meat I thinly sliced it and then after marinating it I cooked it over high heat on the stovetop like a stir fry. Leftovers were excellent also.

Cheesy Chicken Meatballs
These were a little on the spicy side for us. I think one egg would have been plenty because they did not roll into meatballs very easily, they just plopped onto the prepared pan but did cook up well. Leftovers are going in spaghetti sauce.

Beef Mac Casserole
I didn't have the small shells so I used elbow macaroni which worked well in this casserole. The pepperoni I bought made this taste a bit like a pizza and my brother thought leftovers were fantastic.
