Apple Betty

This is an easy delicious recipe. As recommended, I used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white and then I added chopped walnuts to the top and served with fresh whipped cream.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Very Good recipe, especially if you like spicy food - if not just use less of the chipotle and it will still turn out great!

Roasted Garlic and Eggplant Soup

This soup was hearty and so flavorful. The only thing I did different was added Thyme and two shredded carrots. It's great with a hearty grain bread to dip in it. Try this soup, you won't regret it.

Delilah's Frosted Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

I'm sorry to go against everybody enjoying this cookie. I followed the recipe exactly, and the dough was too sticky to roll out or use cutouts. After adding quite a bit more flour, I could roll it out but still had problems with the cutters. Then, when they cooked they puffed up so much that I could barely tell what it was anymore. If you're only using these for round sugar cookies, the taste is fine but I don't recommend to use for cutouts.

Szechwan Shrimp

This was soooo good.NEVER use pre-cooked shrimp because it won't soak up any of the flavor so I used raw and added frozen broccoli.Definately double or triple sauce.I have a two year old who eats everything, and this was too spicy for her so I would say if making this for children don't add quite as much of the pepper but for adults who like spicy, it's perfect.

JENNIE-O's Best Ever Meatloaf

I think this is better than hamburger. I added about 1/4 cup more breadcrumbs so that it wouldn't be watery like some had written about and I added about 1 Tbs mustard and brown sugar to the ketchup for the top. This is a keeper

Tea Cookies I

These cookies were delicious and exactly how I remembered my grandma's to be. I didn't find them to be dry at all - a little crumbly in dough form, but not when cooked.

Baked Swiss Steak

My family loved this dinner. The only thing I did differently was increase vegetable measurements, add 2 Tbs onion soup mix, and used top sirloin steaks. I also served it over white rice instead of noodles.

Sherry Apple Pork Chops

My family loved this dish. I did as some others suggested and sauted apples mixture before putting it in baking dish and I also added 2 Tbs cornstarch w/1/4 cup more sherry. The only thing that would make it better would be to find seasoning that made the pork more flavorful and still complimented the apples. Any ideas???

Creamy Spiced Coleslaw

The first time I made this, I did everything exactly and it was really good but a little runny. I now only use about 1/2 cup mayo and 1 Tablespoon of sugar. Whether you make the changes or not, it's a great recipe.

Margaritas to Die For

These are so good and pack a powerful punch. I doubled the recipe, and we thought they were a little sour, so we added a can of coors light. I know it sounds weird, but it calms the tartness. The pulp and zest floats to the top and has kind of a weird texture so we strained them. Like earlier reviewers, we didn't let the syrup sit for 24 hours and they still turned out great.

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing

I made these with halibut for a group last night. I followed earlier advice about not using quite so much adobo so I cut it down to about 1/3 cup and it was still very hot (would use 1/4 next time) but very good. I made a version with only a teaspoon or so of adobo for the people that don't like spicy, and it was really good also. Followed everything else exactly - these were excellent

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

This cookie was very soft, and tasted good.They're not as sweet or puffed up as most chocolate chip cookies.I probably would try out a couple other recipes before I made them again, but enjoyable and worth trying.
