This is my husband's rating..the chicken breasts were almost tasteless. I'll stick with my brine and buttermilk.

Basic Vegetable Stock

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
HEY..this is super easy and sooooooo inexpensive stock. I started freezing when asparagus came in spring..everything..tomato peelings, leftover potatoes, used limp celery, tips of okra, leftover peas..you name it..hey, Stan, I GOT IT~SMART AND THRIFTY, plus delicious. I doubled the water and seasonings and threw in the last herbs-rain has stopped a lot of our gardening this year, here in MS. Please try this..you'll have your very own stock for the winter months.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I,too, thought it was a bit too much dill-even though I love dill. Added sour cream and mayo to buttermilk and thinned with skim milk to make easier pouring for salad dressing. Very, very close to the real thing! Thanks for the recipe. I will cut back on the dill next time and add garlic, since I am a garlic fan!

Crab Ceviche

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
Only had a small amount of crabmeat, but found this soooo delicious! I only added a little chopped red onion-didn't want the taste of crab overwhelmed. Too, I just sprinkle some dried cilantra and parsley over. And, since I am not a "spicy fan", I omitted the peppers-guess I am the only non-spicy person in the www! Still, I am making more today for the football games! A great appetizer!

Angel Chicken Pasta

This delicious recipe is to die for! Made it last night with leftovers for tonight[just two of us]. I did up the oven temperature to 375;325 just seemed to take too long. Turned out perfectly. Too, we prefer fettuccine pasta. Shared with a co-worker and she wanted the delicious recipe. Thanks, Marian for sharing.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
AWESOME! I followed the recipe using full sauce and the full amount of garlic and seasoning salt but only two pork chops for the two of us. Did add 1/2 c. Chardonny, and 1/2 c. skim milk[that's all I had.] To think I have found another delicious recipe after all my years of collecting and experimenting-is exciting! Thanks so much for sharing. UPDATE:Last night my husband spotted pork chops and was elated that we were to have fried ones[I was planning on him grilling them], so I decided to use this recipe to fry without sauce. OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
My husband drinks it all up as soon as I mix it! Just for a lazy time, I mixed the melted sugar/water w/lemon juice without any waiting time. Thanks so much. UPDATE:This recipe calls for only 4 oz servings. I upped the amount and use about half squeezed lemon juice with pulp and half condensed juice in a bottle. Works great and everyone now wants the recipe! Again, thanks, Jo.

Used again..still fabulous. But since it makes enough for two, I froze the second one for later in a small freezer bag. Then, placed in refrigerator to let it thaw. Perfect!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
Wow! Tried Easter on a spiral ham..didn't follow recipe exactly..just combine about 3/4 c honey, about 1/2 c. golden corn syrup, 1 stick butter, stuck some cloves here & there. Then melted all and poured over ham which I wrapped in an oven bag as one indicated[didn't work..all the juices leaked onto covered pan]-no bother, just used my baster[plactic suction thing]and basted between some of the loose slices. My new oven cooks faster than older one, so simply got it hot..and let it rest. Never tasted ham so good..and I thought I was the Queen of Ham! Thanks so much for the basic ingredients and the enjoyment you brought.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Absolutely wonderful!By mistake, I opened cream of mushroom soup, kept full amount of sauce for only two of us, Added minced garlic to cream cheese slice. As another suggested, I added a few torn spinach leaves, wine for milk, , then some dried parsley to the sauce. We have it over fettucini with sauteed spinach. Thanks so much..we are having this often!
