This was very good. I have wanted to make it since I had some in a restaurant 2 years ago. I followed the hints from the person who said to add eggs to the bechemel sauce and it needs eggs in order to set. I think I could have baked mine a little longer, but it was great and we have great leftovers.

Easy Corn Pudding

I made this recipe from another source and you can also add cubed ham as that is how my recipe was written and it gives it more substance. 2 eggs is a good idea, I will do that next time.

Caramel Shortbread Squares

I had issues with this recipe because my caramel wanted to burn in my pan. I was able to salvage it and the end result was ok. I may need a heavier saucepan to try again. I found the shortbread fine as I had my butter very soft when I mixed the flour and sugar in.

Almond Puff

My Mom used to make this and I had lost the recipe, so was happy to find it here. She used almond extract in the glaze and chopped walnuts instead of almonds on top, but I think almonds carries the theme better. They are wonderful!!

Honey Oat Beer Bread

I made this bread last night and I have to say this was very tasty. I brought it to work today and it was gone very quickly. We all just ate it plain, but I would like to try it with a slice of cheese melted on top. Yummy!

Dishpan Cookies II

Just like everyone else, I have to give this recipe 5 stars. I made the recipe the same except I used real butter instead of margarine. I found that they needed to be baked longer than 10 minutes as they were undone in the middle if not baked more like 12-14 minutes. Mine were more brown all over, but still stayed chewy. I would make these again without a doubt.

Chicken Provolone

I prepared this last night and I thought it wasn't too bad. I didn't use a boxed stuffing, rather seasoned stuffing cubes which weren't salty. It didn't say to add any liquid to the stuffing, but it was apparent that liquid needed to be added. I put the stuffing on the bottom, the chicken breasts on top, I used 8, but next time 6 would be plenty. I put the cheese on the chicken and then topped it with the soup mix. I didn't use as much wine and I couldn't taste the wine. I thought maybe because I used cooking wine that was why. I think I will try again and do some more tweaking.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

I made these cookies last night and used M&M's (the Star Wars dark ones). I thought they were good. Mine were pretty flat, but they were chewy, so I was ok with it. I put the M & M's on after scooping the batter, so they looked better. I used salted butter and didn't add the additional salt and I think they tasted fine. I think margarine would work for these also, but I do like baking with butter. I am sure I will make these again. This was a good recipe, I'm sure I will make them again.

Chocolate Covered Banana Pie

This was a good recipe, but extremely rich. It is way more than 8 servings. I cut it into 15 and they were still big pieces and still too much for most people. I didn't put the marshmallows in with the pudding on the top and it didn't need it. Everyone liked the crust a lot, but I'm not sure I would make this again. It was just a little too rich for my taste, but if you like rich desserts, you will like it.

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe

I liked this recipe, but will make some adjustments next time. I didn't add the water either and thought it was plenty soupy. I did use all the rest of the ingredients, but think I will leave the sherry out next time as I just didn't care for that taste in this. I won't use 1/2 c butter to cook the vegies next time, it just didn't need that much, also could maybe get by with less chicken broth, but I will have to see how soupy it seems. I still thought it was good and would make it again.
