About this Cook
I am a mother of 6. I have a wonderful husband who has 2 children from a previous relationship so we have 8 kids in the family. I am a quite person who loves to cook and come up with new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking casserole dishes, easy dishes and anything that doesn't have too many spices.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like making homemade chocolate cookies with my kids.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to make homemade pie crust and homemade pumpkin pie. When I first tried to make pie crust I almost threw it in the trash. But in the end the pie crust turned out pretty good. Now for the holidays I am the one who has to make the pies, so I am told by my family.
My cooking tragedies
I wanted to make chicken breast with cilantro sauce. I needed a blender for the cilantro sauce. I didn't have a blender.(I lost it in a fire, and forgot). I called around to see if anyone had a blender, and noone did. I was told to use a mixer. I needed to blend not mix. I was desperate so I tried to "mix", not a very good idea, I ended up having it all over me. I went forward with the dinner as planned. Needless to say my husband still liked the sauce. Me, I was very dissapointed. I ate the chicken without the sauce.

Cabbage Beef Soup
I added a can of each, sliced carrots, diced tomatos, corn, green beans, and peas. I only had 1 can of kidney beans so I used a can of chilli flavored beans also. I put some chilli powder in it too. My soup was between a vegetable beef soup and chilli. Everyone in my house loved it (9 people) and my mom, dad, and a couple of friends of mine loved this soup. I will be making this soup again very soon! Next time I make this I will make a double batch so we can have leftovers. This recipe is a good starter soup to expierment with. Thank you for the recipe.

Ranch Burgers
Like other people have said this tasted more like meatloaf on a bun. Which I like it any way, but mine fell apart for some reason. I also added an extra pack of dry ranch seasoning. I will make again but I will leave out the egg and the crackers. My kids loved them!

No Bake Cookies I
I really liked these cookies. The next time I make these I will use creamy peanut butter instead. Very fast and easy to make. I will be making these often! Thanks for the recipe! Easier to make and cheaper than buying them already made.
