Lemony Chicken with Artichoke Hearts

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
I really wanted to like this more but I can't agree with the worcestershire sauce. I just felt that it overpowered the sauce. I remade it without and it was very good. I added mushrooms also.

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
After reading all of the recipes for tiramisu on this website, I chose this one. Glad I did. This was wonderful. I am picky about this dessert and seldom find a good one in a restaurant. I wanted to have plenty and fill a 9 x 13 pan so I bumped up the eggs and mascarpone, but won't do it next time. There was plenty of filling. I did use way more ladyfingers so it would do 3 layers. Family loved it. Quite sure I used a whole cup of liqueur too!

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
First attempt at peanut brittle. Success!! Easy recipe to follow. I used almonds because that's what I had on hand. I followed reviewer's advice and did not add nuts until over 250*, especially since my nuts were roasted. If they are raw, earlier would probably be okay. I also cooked until almost 300* before adding butter, soda and used vanilla for more flavor. I'm inspired now to try different nuts and maybe give this for gifts!

Spaghetti Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
This is a fun recipe. It turns out really great. I used angel hair pasta which we prefer. My husband liked it and he supposedly does not like spaghetti! I made it in the 9 x 13 pan as suggested by others It's a keeper!

Breakfast Sausage Roll

Great recipe. I have been making a different version for many, many years. One loaf of dough and shaped into a wreath at Xmas. Or, fill with canned apples and cinnamon. Very versatile.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

I also used honey instead of corn syrup. They turned out great. Butterscotch chips too. No coconut. I'll try the flax and sesame seeds next time. This is such and easy, quick, somewhat healthy snack!

These are a healthy, tasty feast. I don't understand why the nutrition info says 30 grams of fat. Shouldn't be that high.

Pumpkin Dessert

I made this with spice cake mix and extra spices. It was very good, but keep thinking a crispier bottom would be better. Maybe a gingersnap crust. Anyway, it was an easy and good recipe.

Tantalizing Turkey and Blue Cheese Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
This is a great recipe. I made it today and we loved it. I used chicken instead of turkey because we prefer it. I used 2 whole eggs instead of messing with the separating. Subbed Worcestershire for the soy sauce. I thought it would be a lot of pepper, but it was fine. Left out the chili powder but I will give it a try next time. Because I am lazy, I made 4 inch patties instead of 2 inch balls and just cooked a little longer. This one will get made a lot!!!

Good recipe. I have made this with ground chicken for a lower fat version. Equally good.

Addictive Pumpkin Muffins

I also cut this recipe in half. I have tweaked it so many times I forgot the original! I use all whole wheat PASTRY flour, extra cinn. & cloves, add some ground flax and sometimes bran. They are so much better for you than most muffins, and they taste so good. An all time favorite.

Loved this recipe! I made it on the stovetop. Cut way down on the butter. Sauteed some mushrooms and made the sauce separate. Added curry like someone suggested. This was great!

This is a great recipe, but the orginal that I use is with a home made dough, which is really very easy too.

Whole Grain Healthy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2007
Wow! This is a great recipe. I used the other reviewers ideas for real sugar (I used brown sugar) and whole wheat pastry flour (this is wonderful stuff). I added vanilla and walnuts. I went with 55 minutes and then kept an eye on it. This one will be made many times! To the person who said too much flaxseed - Use ground flaxseed. Big difference!!!
