I understand what other reviews have said about the consistency being odd, but bottom line is this is DELICIOUS. My fiance who 'doesn't like french toast' had seconds & asked when I'm making it again. I didn't have any grand manier in the house so actually used cognac & it was delicious. I also didn't trim the crusts, but let it soak for over 12 hrs & kept spooning more of the egg mixture on top of the bread. Sprinkle some cinnamon on this & voila! Yum!

Peach Cobbler II

I did not read the reviews before making this but ended up lessening the sugar to about 1 c. (just visually seemed like to much) and the water to about a cup (couldnt fit any more in the 7x11 pan! Can't understand any of the negative reviews on this one, because it was DELISH!

Asparagus Wrapped in Crisp Prosciutto

Such a simple concept but SO amazingly yummy! Perhaps more than any other recipe I've ever gotten from this site, I couldn't believe the response from my guests. They went like hotcakes. My boyfriend, who would typically RUN from asparagus, actually came back for 2nds & 3rds & .. asked when I'm making them again!

Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Always looking for easy & delicious recipes for the grill to get away from the same ol' burgers, chicken, steaks, etc. This one is a keeper! Great taste, nice & crisp outside.

Pasta Sauce with Italian Sausage

This had a great taste, but was just TOO meaty .. didn't feel like a "sauce" as the end of a day .. more like a chili consistency. Just a matter of preference I suppose.

Lobster Newburg

I ended up making this a "seafood" newburg with shrimp, scallops, crab & lobster but it was delish! Made it for my mom's bday & everyone loved it. Boyfriend has already asked when I'm making again. My only complaing: maybe my family has huge appetites or something, but I adjusted for 10 servings & it still didn't seem to be enough!

Italian Wedding Cookies II

HEAVEN ... tastes EXACTLY like the layered cookies you get at an Italian bakery. If you want to impress your friends & family, this is the recipe to go with. Not NEARLY as complicated to make as they look!! I will make these again, for sure!! The only thing I would note is that you don't need to use all the chocolate ... I found the top layer a little too thick ... made curring into pieces a bit difficult. I would use less so that there is only a very thin chocolate layer on top.

Rugelach

I misplaced my original rugelach recipe & stumbled on this one. I was not disappointed .. the pastry dough was very tasty. Next year I plan to try the suggested variations (with the jam), but the basic recipe was excellent!!

Soft Gingerbread Cookies

I don't know WHAT any of the negative reviews could possibly be about!!! I found this recipe on here about years ago and have made them EVERY year since. EVERYONE I bring them too loves them. They are not as "harsh" as a typical gingerbread cookie ... softer in texture and milder in taste. Yes, the dough can be a bit hard to roll out but it is WAY worth it for the YUMMIEST gingerbread cookie I've ever had!!!

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

These were very tasty ... a nice little variation on a traditional favorite (tho' I stuck with vanilla instead of brandy). Very quick & easy to throw together .. I will probably make them again next Christmas.
