About this Cook
I am a wife and mother of two children. I like to prepare healthy and nutritious meals for my family. I love to cook comfort foods in my crock pot and I enjoy making things I have never tried before.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook comfort foods in my crock pot and I enjoy making things I have never tried before. My family loves to eat and I enjoy making meals. My children and I love to make things from scratch. My six year old thinks that if brownies come out of the box, then they are not "real." :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My girls and I love to cook things for the family. I make things everyday and they love to rush in and crack the eggs and stir. We talk about lots of things while we cook and it is truly a time for me to teach them everything from math, science, and tradition. I feel like it is the time when we are making memories.
My cooking triumphs
Mashed potatoes, chocolate chip cookies, meatloaf, potato soup, eggs, pumpkin pies
My cooking tragedies
One time I made potato soup that I salted (I use lots of salt when I make mashed potatoes, so I thought good potato soup needs lots of salt, too) I was wrong. It was so salty, we threw it out and ordered in.

Spooky Witches Fingers
My witch fingers were made too big and they spread out to look more like ogre fingers. But, they were green and they looked like "Shrek" fingers. Still a big hit! They looked awesome and they taste great. Thank you for the recipe. Look for the pic.

Marshmallow Treats
I used the ratio of ingredients listed by a review. I used the 1 stick of butter and 11 cups of cereal. Pretty much close to this recipe. I also added food coloring to the marshmallow and butter mixture and made GREEN rice crispy treats for my little goblins for Halloween. My mom suggested cutting them into shapes with cookie cutters but I haven't gotten that far yet. If I do, I will re-edit this review. TFP!

Best Ever Chocolate Cutout Cookies
These cookies were very good. They came out a little flat when they were cooked. The only reason I gave them 4/5 stars. I followed the directions. No changes. And rolled out the dough. They spread quite a bit, which was fine, but a little flat. They did crisp on the edges and they were soft in the center.. perfect consistency. Even so much they fell apart because they were thin, but tasty.
