My favorite things to cook
I love baking sweets Sunday and taking them to work Monday to avoid eating more than enough to see if it's a good recipe. My co workers gobble them up and complain that I'm making them fat but if I don't bring anything in for a few weeks they ask where the goodies are. For myself I like all kinds of foods from all over the world except anything with curry powder because I don't like turmeric or fenugreek seeds. I keep meaning to make my own curry powder without either of those ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
No one else in my family likes to cook much or is good at it except an aunt a few thousand miles away.
My cooking triumphs
Chocolate peanut butter mousse towers- took several days. They were a pain but gorgeous and delicious.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried chocolate mousse in high school I did something wrong because it never set. I let it sit in the refrigerator for 3 days continuing to hope, but it was still pourable.
