About this Cook
Born and bred southern girl. Crazy, insane, obsessed with Georgia Bulldog football. Fell in love and married a Citadel Bulldog. He and I love to open a bottle of wine and cook together. Living and working in Nigeria for DH and DH's dream job!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make pizza, I can do a mean stir fry and I'm just starting to discover the slow cooker.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook with my DH. Nothing beats a pinot and cooking together, talking about our day. Now that we have holidays with all of our friends, I love calling my sister and making sure that I know how to make all of our family recipes, like Sweet Potato casserole and applesauce with marshmallows.
My cooking triumphs
I think for me the biggest triumph is that I'm not afraid of my kitchen and learning to experiment with food. I love playing with recipes and because I've had success with this, it gives me more confidence. I recently made in the slow cooker, an Alfredo, Mushroom, Wine, Chicken dish that I put together and it was amazing! Cooking relaxes me and is such a fun, sharing time for me.
My cooking tragedies
I gave a small dinner party and decided to use all new recipes, not a good idea. Even I was disappointed at how bad everything was! Here in Nigeria we all want to have yummy, American meals, so you do your best and see what happens!

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
I followed the advice, 3 eggs, 3 c. of peanut butter and did 1 c. white sugar, 1 c. brown, 1c. confec. and they were amazing. The best pb cookies I've ever had! I took some into work and served some at a party and both times they were gone before I turned around! I made some and put mini Reese PB Cups on top when the cookie is still warm, out of this world!
