About this Cook
I'm a Life Coach, a Reiki Practitioner and I do work as a clairvoyant medium. My work takes a lot of energy and I enjoy unwinding by cooking with my husband, Steve, whom just happens to be phenomenal in the kitchen! He has the demands that go with being a business owner and he also enjoys cooking to unwind. We both consider cooking to be a form of "therapy".
My favorite things to cook
Dinner food. Sometimes fancy, sometimes simple. I'm not a big fan of baking goodies because we all try to watch what we eat and I leave the grilling stuff to my hubby. I love breakfast food but hate cooking it. Thankfully, my husband is fantastic at breakfast.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite "tradition" is when my husband cooks and I get all the ingredients together in little bowls. I call myself the "Blam" girl because I get the "Blam" and the "Pow" ready to be thrown in. Then Steve puts it all together and neither on of us feels like we had to do all the work.
My cooking triumphs
Making the entire Thanksgiving Dinner to me is a triumph for anyone. I have made a few recipes that I would say would be rated as very difficult that turned out superb and I was really proud...and grateful. It would have been a bummer to do hours of cooking and have your meal turn out terrible.
My cooking tragedies
I guess I've been lucky. I received a "Kitchen Witch" as a wedding present way back in 1985 that is supposed to insure that all your meals turn out fine and edible. I still have her hanging up and she's still doing her job.

Bagel and Cheese Bake
This was awesome!! I tore the bagel's into bite size pieces so that it would be easier to cut. I then sprayed some butter spray on the bagel-bites and I then lightly toasted them in the oven under the broiler. I thought it seemed like them may end of soggy. I also doubled up on the bacon after making it with the called for amount and it looked like not enough. I put a little extra cheddar after the final layer and it looked beautiful. This recipe had everyone calling for the recipe!! I can't wait to make it again and add some tomatoes, bell peppers and whatever other vege's are in the fridge.
