About this Cook
I started cooking at the age of 8 when my mum went back to work. Being the oldest child my responsibility was to get dinner on the table so when my parents came home we were ready to eat. I had been helping my mum and Grandmother with baking and prep work since an early age. My specialty was meatloaf which I made in various shapes during the year. Over the years my skill increased and I enjoyed creating meals from whatever was in the fridge.
My favorite things to cook
There aren't many things I don't enjoy cooking but I don't have the time I once did.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Prime Rib for Christmas, Goose for Thanksgiving and if I have the time, I make a mean Yule log which always disappears as soon as I put it out.
My cooking triumphs
I have enjoyed preparing holiday meals for my family and the Prime Rib and Yule log are favorites
My cooking tragedies
I have been lucky thus far not to have any major disasters (Knock Wood).
