When I eat out, it's Japanese or Middle Eastern ... so I want to learn how to make that stuff myself. I'm also trying to be more vegetarian.
My favorite things to cook
Soyrizo Burritos are my staple. I also make great potstickers, but they're too much work.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother makes Spinach Balls with eggs and bread crumbs and parmessan cheese, rolled in sesame seeds. She rolls them into bite-size balls and bakes them the night before every holiday. I love them!
My cooking triumphs
My Dad's rule was: Try everything twice (You prejudge things, so the first try doesn't count.) I'm glad he made us do that as kids, because now I'm not afraid to expand my food experience.
