YUM! I've made these twice in two days! I only used a 1/4 c. butter and still great. Yesterday I used fresh blueberries, today fresh blueberries AND strawberries. Tomorrow, some apple pie topping. Did I say Yum?

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

These are scrumpdiddly! Couple of tips I found: I fried them in Light Olive Oil for a lighter taste than vegetable oil. I also cooked them covered on medium to medium high in small pancake size individual servings, this way the onions didn't burn. Make sure you rinse and squeeze dry, this keeps your potatoes from turning grey! And lastly drain well. I kept mine on newspaper and paper towels in the microwave and patted with paper towel before serving. *try topping with cheese and leftover ham from the holidays!!!

Way too salty. Next time I'll try one TEASPOON of salt and see how that goes.

This was delicious! Why bother with bottled or jarred tarter sauce, this makes just enough and it tastes WAY better!

Bland. I used the most helpful review suggestion by adding the gravy and Worcestershire sauce. Not for our house. Looks nice though.

Won Ton Snacks

These were good, really good. The ingredients were perfect, it was the sauce that held me back from 5 stars... I used House of Tsang Peanut sauce which is a nice spicy flavor, but I don't like spicy. So I think that I can use this recipe and play with different sauces - but everyone seemed to enjoy these, especially the fact that they're baked and not fried. Nice.

Parmesan and Basil Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
Excellent. I made as directed but wasn't sure if I had a full cup of basil, I just used a package of the basil that's sold in the supermarket .66 oz. I seasoned the chicken lightly while cooking (salt, onion powder and a little garlic). I think it's great served as a sandwich with bacon and sliced tomatoes.

Absolutely a keeper! I scaled it down for two apples (exactly what my kids didn't want anymore of) and it was a delicious desert for me and my hubby!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
My family loved this recipe. I made as directed with the exception of adding half a small diced onion and two large garlic cloves that I sauteed after the chops were browned. I topped the chops with half this mixture and then added the rest to the gravy. Very tender and flavorful. (We ate them with Worcestershire sauce on the side).

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
Yummy! 5 Stars for easy to make, quick to the table (I don't think it took a whole hour like the directions say), and delicious - even for my picky kids! YUM! To make it easy: I used Oscar Meyer Real Bacon Bits - the ones like beef jerky in the condiment aisle, and I didn't have teriyaki sauce, so I simmered 1 c. soy sauce with 3/4 c. water and 3/4 c. sugar with a clove of chopped garlic & 3 green onions chopped, it tasted just like the jarred versions of teriyaki sauce. I added the cheese on the last 5 minutes. Delish!!! Thank you, Wanda, for the wonderful chicken recipe!!!

Five-Cup Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
This is a great fruit salad that I make during the Holidays. I omit the coconut and add walnuts or pecans instead, and also add a drained jar of halved maraschino cherries. This recipe is great to make to taste, use the fruits in syrup for a sweeter taste and the fruits in juice for a nice light fresh taste! I also use the pineapple tidbits instead of the chunks to make it easier to eat. Adding more marshmallows makes it drier just in case there's too much juice. And it's better the next day!
