About this Cook
I have been happily married for 24 years! We have one wonderful daughter and a great son-in-law. I am a pre-school teacher for kids with special needs. I love my job! I also love cooking, reading, and Bravo t.v shows (Top Chef, Project Runway...etc.)
My favorite things to cook
Home made sauces, salad dressings, and salsas. I also love to grill, and make anything Italian.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love having Thanksgiving at the beach when my parents come down to Florida!
My cooking tragedies
There have too many too count through the years, but the most memorable is when I was a newly wed. I wanted to make fried chicken for my new husband. I was using seasoned salt in my flour mixture, and for some weird reason, thought that the mixture should look "golden brown" before frying!!! Needless to say, I added so much salt that it was terrible! But my husband was sweet about it, and we laugh about it to this day!

Mango Salsa
very good!!!! I used a little red onion instead of the green. I put peppers, onion, lemom and lime juice, and cilantro in food processor, then added hand cut mango at end. Served with fried tortilla triangles, and Husband loved! We have also used on fish tacos which was excellent! Thanks for the recipe!
