About this Cook
I started cooking because I don't like to settle for "instant foods" like the majority of single people my age. I couldn't afford to go out every night so I decided to learn to cook myself. I've found that I have a natural aptitude for cooking any thing from Beef Wellington to Maniccoti w/ my own home made tomato sauce.
My favorite things to cook
I always like to try something different that you can't find locally. I also like the challenge of something difficult.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My aunt is a kitchen goddess. I always loved holidays at her house when she was cooking. Not only was the food great, but I had access to all her best recipes!
My cooking triumphs
My Beef Wellington is one of my greatest accomplishments. I'm also proud that I learned that it is always better to make sauces yourself than to use them from a jar or can. Too many preservatives!
My cooking tragedies
I've been fortunate so far. Nothing too detrimental.

Honey Garlic BBQ Sauce II
To cut calories, I omitted the butter. I also used less water so I didn't need any cornstarch to thicken. I tweaked it with a little onion powder, but something just wasn't quite right. Then I added some liquid smoke and it was perfect! I most certainly will be making this again!

Absolutely The Best Shrimp Scampi
Wonderful! I decided to throw in some scallops as well as the shrimp and it proved to be delightful. I also sprinkled some more cayenne on top just before serving. Fantastic!

My Mom's Parmesan Chicken
This is a fantastic dish! My boyfriend and I scrapped our plates clean. I wouldn't change a thing.
