About this Cook
Married to a wonderful man and have two great step kids and a toddler.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake... unfortunately, the better I get, the more I like to eat what I bake! I also have a "thing" for casseroles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
No real traditions. My father's family is from Poland, so I've tried dabbling in Polish food.
My cooking triumphs
I perfected a cookie recipe that tastes like the crunchy edge of a brownie. I'll be entering it in the county fair this year.
My cooking tragedies
Few recipes I found here - Like avocado cheese cake. I challenged the kids to find words to describe how bad it was.

Granola Bars III
These were tasty! A bit gooey, but that was better than being dry. I left off the nuts and raisins and went straight for mini-chocolate chips. I also used less sugar.

Mom's Zucchini Bread
Wow, I can't get over how tasty this was. I subbed 1/2 wheat flour, 1/2 applesauce and 1 cup of brown sugar for the white (and left out the nuts). Still AWESOME bread that I can't make again because it blows any willpower I might have.

Slow Cooker Roast Beef
I've made this several times now and love it. I take my roast out about 30 minutes before serving and let it rest while I add about 1 tbsp of cornstarch dissolved in the juice. After about 10 minutes, I slice up or tear up the meat and put it back in. 20 minutes later, it's perfect. I mix it all with some egg noodles and serve. AWESOME!
