About this Cook
I'm married, we still do not have kids. I work full time, and on my free time I love to try new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
My specialty would be Mexican food, but don't get to cook it often since real Mexican food is time consuming.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition would be our birthday celebrations. My mother always asked us what we wanted to eat that day and we could choose anything. Anything went, spanish paella, mole verde (from scratch), chocolate, pozole, picaditas, pansita, menudo, tacos de tripa, anything...
My cooking triumphs
My grandmother does everything from scratch and chocolate is no exception, she toasts and grinds the coco beans her self. The last time I visited her we made a batch together, which was truly special and a piece of her I will always have with me long after she is gone.
My cooking tragedies
Bavarian cream. I always curdle my firs batch of Bavarian cream, but the third time is always the lucky charm.

Rolled Fondant
My fondant came out a little too dry, so I would use less sugar next time. But it definitely tasted better than the stuff you get from the store. My husband loved it and kept eating it by it self. I did have problems with it cracking after refrigerating it but a bit of water took care of that. Overall lovely recipe.
