My four brothers and I were raised on a farm. I was the middle child and my father was in military and my mom worked very hard to keep things going so I was the one to do the cooking when she wasn't there.I have always been interested in cooking as well as collecting cook books.My wife loves the fact I like to cook becouse she don't have to. I enjoy cooking everything but I most enjoy creating something new and a little diffrent.I have always felt that a kitchen to a cook is like a canvase to a painter.The kitchen is a great place to express yourself.I enjoy most when my wife is there helping me and my three year old son is in there asking me (what are you doing?)like most three yearolds do.I hope someday my son or daughter take intrest in cooking so I can pass my cookbook collection down to them and I can be the one standing there saying what are you doing? My mother-in-law put together a cookbook of all their family recipes passed down over five generations and had it binded and made it like a real recipe book.I thought that was the coolest thing ever she handed them out one year for Christmas.I want to do that with my family recipes.At our family reunion every year evryone brings the one recipe that they are most known for and I want to get a collection of all those recipes to pass down to my family.
