Pork Roast with Thyme

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
I just took the roast out of the oven and let it sit for 10-15 min. I was very leery of the vinegar but this is the best pork roast I think I have made~! I cooked it in a cast iron skillet(my favorite!) with a lid since I wasn't in the house to baste...didn't add additional liquid and it is excellent!! Thanks!!

Sloppy Joes II

I made this for our Halloween party but tripled it. Everyone really liked them but I thought they were a tad too sweet...I'll cut the sugar a bit next time but good and easy! Thanks!

Easy Pork Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
This was the most tender pork roast I've ever cooked (even better than a crock pot!). Didn't have shallots but used a lg leek and a can of northern white beans instead of the cannallinis. I'm going to try this with a beef roast next week!! Oh, I did the whole thing in a big cast iron skillet. Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2007
Made this yesterday for dinner with a chuck roast. Like others I peppered and garlic powdered the roast before adding the liquids (to which I added a TBS or so of woistashire and maybe 1/4 c of red wine). It made it very tasty and I agree it will make a great french onion soup base for tonight. Thanks!!

Salsa Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
I made this last night for a block party. I used the whole box of rainbow pasta as I had read there could be a lot of dressing in the bottom. I had no problem with that. I also added chipolte cheese and a small hot pepper (seeded and ribbed) and a bit more chili pepper since I used more pasta. It was one of the first to go and I enjoyed the little bowl I snitched for breakfast! Great recipe!!!

The spice in this recipe is really good! Even my "I can't eat spicy food-it's too hot" husband loved it. He was trying to figure out what else could be spiced with it. Thanks!!

I made this the other night and thought it was really tasty. I cut the suger to about 3 tbs., added garlic (because I just had to!) and used fresh herbs with parm and garlic/herb croutons. I finished it off last night with a little chedder and some guacamole on top. Very tasty!!! Thanks!!

Zesty Beef Roast

Reviewed: May 18, 2007
This roast was excellent! I was a little skeptical because although I love horseradish I thought it may be a bit much but like garlic when you roast it, it seems to get mellower and sweeter. Added some carrots and garlic to the pan and was loved by all!! Thanks!!!

Tender Breaded Turkey Cutlets

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
This is is good with onion/garlic powder added to breading. Let the tenders set until coating looks moist-1/2 hr. Then put them in pan....I haven't tried them baked but the above method usually works (after breading sets).

Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
I made these last night and they came out really good for oven cooked ribs. I did add about 2 cloves of minced garlic and cut the salt to about 1/2 tsp as 4 sounded like WAY too much. Basted and turned about every 1/2 hour...not too much trouble. DH was suprised how tender & tasty they were. Thanks for the post!

Made this last night for dinner...it was EXCELLENT!! Marinated for 2hr/cider-2hrs/bbq mixed with chipolte lime marinade about half/half. Was short on charcoal so it cooked (on skewers) for about 40 min. (very slow). The bacon was crisp and the meat was tender and so flavorful!! Thanks!!!
