About this Cook
I have loved to cook as long as I can remember. My mom always had me in the kitchen helping a learing. I am a hair stlylist, but my dream is to open a resturant :)
My favorite things to cook
My baked mostaccioli is always a stand by, also love baking. I really like to make new recipes up also.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chrstmas Prime rib, and cooking Thanksgiving together with my Mom. She has a huge metal roster that was my Grandmother's and will be mine. I love it because it reminds me all the happy times my family has had together.
My cooking triumphs
Baking yeast bread for the first time. Last Easter I made our families hot-cross buns and they tasted just like my moms :)!!!!!
My cooking tragedies
Eggs, I really can't do eggs!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting
Great creamy yummy frosting!! I did add about 1/4C extra PB and about 2TB extra half & half. Used to frost dark chocolate cupcakes for my sisters birthday.

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup
Very good and super easy to make. I cooked the squash a bit longer, used small red potatoes, added an apple, and doubled + all the spices plus added curry powder. I didn't add any cream or sour cream...it didn't need it so it seemed like unneeded fat. I also put everything through the blender together. Looking forward to making again.

Mediterranean Tilapia
Very good. I did make a few changes...I did 4 fillets and still used a little less than a tbsp of oil. Also seasoned the fish with salt and pepper before cooking. Finally I also baked the topping on top of the fish so it would flavor to the fish. I will make again.
