About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake sweets!! Anything that makes my family happy!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make pizzelles every year starting at deer season and through Christmas, my family never gets enough!!
My cooking triumphs
Three years ago I had the chance to cook the whole Thanksgiving dinner at my home. I marinated the turkey, in a large cooler, and everyone raved!!
My cooking tragedies
I was in high school and a friend and I decided to fry shrimp. Well, we got to talking and forgot about the oil and started a fire. I grabbed the pot and tried to get it outside by when my friend opened the door, the pan bursted from the fresh oxygen. My hand caught on fire and I dropped the pan on the floor, a fire started on the floor and we beat it out with the rug. I was rushed to the ER, and had to undergo weeks of whirlpool treatment. I have some scars but I healed very well. I learned to always have baking soda, and fire estingisher in your kitchen and having God on your side helps too!!!

Cranberry Muffins
This recipe rocks!!!! From scratch with a few ingredients and the taste is good. I added a few extra tsp. of orange zest and made an orange glaze to top off the muffins. The glaze also helps keep the muffins nice and moist inside.YUMMY!

Friendship Tea
This is exactly what I was looking for. It is excellent!! A friend gave me some as a gift and my kids love to sip on this after playing outside to warm up.

Pasties I
I have lived in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan. My grandma was a full swede and we NEVER put carrots into a pasty it changes the flavor. Pork and beef, onion, potato, and rutabagas only. This is a good basic recipe to follow.
