Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
I tried this recipe b/c I need a quick bread 4 dinner. I was pleasantly surprised, really easy, tasty,& cheap to make. It made 12 good sized light rolls, that were good, even the next day. Only change I made was to use 1/4 cup of wheat flour. Like many others, I believe the key to these rolls are in the rising. I'll be making these again & again. Thanx for another great recipe fm this site.

Danish Pastry Apple Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
Would have given this ***** stars, but for the degree of difficulty rolling the crust (floured, chilled, & between wax paper) still had issues. I added the cereal to the bottom crust and upped white sugar by 1/4 c. (personal preference) Even w/ my problems my guests were WOWED! Will make in the future, but will use a large tart pan w/ removable bottom. Thanks for another good apple recipe.

Rainbow Cookies

I read all the reviews and came out with this: crumble almond paste, a fork works well, don't seperate eggs, add yellow color to the plain layer, add almond extract to batter, use whatever flavor jam you have, add butter & cream to chocolate for easier spreading (just 1Tbsp butter melted with chips worked well for me) cut with a clean sharp knife. NO PROBLEMS! I put multi colored sprinkles on mine before cutting. THANKS FOR A GREAT RECIPE!!! I won't make it often, but will bring out for special occassions
