I am married. I love to try new things out, especially new spices. I keep very busy at church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and most everything I can get my hands into. One of my favorite things about fellowship is the time and food we share. Both the food and friends remind me of the best times in my childhood.
My favorite things to cook
Spaghetti, baked chicken (I love the variations!), cookies, Crispy Appitizer Pizzas, little pizzas, and hamburger pie, creamy chicken enchiladas, and the list keeps growing.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the fact that when I ask for a recipe from any of the women in my family they can't offer me exact measurements for it. Everything is "You'll learn." It gives me the freedom to try what I like verses what I might have grown up with.
My cooking triumphs
I'd have to say my chicken. No matter how I fix it it seems to come out just right. My husband says I have a nose for it. I know when its just right when I smell it.
My cooking tragedies
Meatloaf. I can't seem to get it just right without using the seasoning packet.
