Snakes in a Blanket

I used a garlic flavored olive oil to seal it , and after they were rolled up, I brushed w/ a little egg wash & sprinkled with Parmesean cheese as well as the Italian seasoning...I used the tops of the asparagus only -- I used the bottoms for asparagus cream soup.

Broccoli Beef II

Instead of using bullion cubes, use an eqaul amount of low sodium beef broth...The sodium content in the cubes is very high.

Quick Spaghetti Sauce

We like a little chunkier sauce so I use diced tomates w/ basil...also, I use Vegetable broth or stock in place of the chicken stock...Mushrooms are also a good add, as well as a little grated carrot for sweetness.

Grilled Baked Potatoes

We prefer small Yukon Gold potatoes cut in half...added some crushed garlic, mixed them all up in a plastic baggie and put onto a slotted pan we have for the grill...we use a lot of parmesean cheese, so it tends to get sprinkled all over just before eating

Florentine Tomato Soup

I don't care to use the bouillon cubes/granules because of the sodium, so I added some vegetable stock instead of the granules and water..Sprinkle w/ grated parmesean cheese right before serving...Also good with adding some thin sliced fresh mushrooms.

Definately add some crushed garlic, but go easy on the salt as the boullion cube is very salty....Sprinkle with a little fresh grated parmesean cheese and a little paprika at the end.

Baked Cream Corn

I add a can of well drained diced tomatoes and top it off with a good sprinkling of parmesean cheese...I use the tomatoes that have onion, garlic, basil etc....But, with or without the tomatoes, this is a really good recipe
