My favorite things to cook
Most casseroles or anything that I can do with my slow cooker. Being single and working extremely long hours, quick but tasty is my motto. Now on weekends I'll roll up my sleeves and try new recipes. Love sauteed vegetables with various flavors or seasonings. True veggie lover here.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For me just me cooking in the kitchen during holidays or special gatherings. Parents are elderly so I have to do a lot of the cooking and I just love bringing together the flavors and the aroma that comes from stuffing or other dishes being prepared. It's somewhat therapeutic for me.
My cooking triumphs
My basic triumph(s) will have to deal with anything that's casserole related. I have mastered mixing several renditions together that have come out absolutely perfect.
My cooking tragedies
Anything that deals with a crust. My one weakness are pies, especially peach, cherry, apple, and blackberry BUT I just can not make a pie crust. It absolutely NEVER turns out right. And Cornbread is another tragedy for me. Even if I follow the recipe it comes out too dry or something. Terrible at "grilling" on a grill too.
