Peanut Butter Crispies
About this Cook
Happily married mother, with two young boys.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, its my passion. I dream of someday owning my own bakery. Cookies, breads, pies, cakes, etc. I love baking!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up I loved cooking with my mother and grandmother. So now I find joy in cooking the same foods I cooked with them with my children. Food has a strange way of bringing family together. My Grandfather is from the south (born and raised in Kentucky) and he has recipes in his head, such as homemade biscuits and cornbread. So, he has passed his cooking methods own to me and I hope to pass them on to my children.
My cooking tragedies
This sounds funny, but every time I try to make Jell-O it never turns out, its always runny. Everyone makes fun of me for it.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake I
Made this cake and took it to work the next day. The flavor the next day was even better than the first day. I was told by friends that it tasted like vanilla ice cream.

Coconut Cream Pound Cake
This cake is die for. I used a bundt pan, cause I didn't have a tube pan and it turned out great. I did cook it 10 minutes longer, but it was probably done 10 minutes earlier. When making a pound cake you want to let your cold ingredients come to room temp first. So, I sit my eggs, butter and cream cheese out to get to room temp. I also sifted the flour and baking soda together, befor adding them to the batter. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Cream Cheese Squares
This recipe is so easy. My oldest son is very picky about what he eats, once he tried a piece he asked for more. Tasted like a cinnamon roll, great for breakfast.
