As a newlywed, I decided I needed to know more about the kitchen than how to do the basics. I went in with a grimace and came out with a grin! I love to cook braised pork shoulder roast, chocolate no-bake cookies, and quick and easy suppers. I have surpassed my mother's abilities and desires in the kitchen. (Am I the only gal whose mother hates to cook?) Just recently, I tried to make a slow-cooker pheasant dish. My husband proudly brought home the bird, so I felt I should cook it. I destroyed it! I don't know exactly WHY it was so bad, it just was! Ugh!
