About this Cook
Well, I'm 23 and mother to an increadibly picky 18 month old; wife to a hungry Mexican; home cook to the rest of our household
My favorite things to cook
Chicken. I love to cook it because there is so much versatility and when you get it on a good sale you can eat it every night of the week and not really notice.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My special cookie recipe for Christmas and my Yule loaf. Can't wait to share with my son.
My cooking triumphs
Umm....my balsamic and white wine chicken. That is really good. And my halibut in basal cream sauce. YUMMY oh, and my aboldigas soup.
My cooking tragedies
1000 characters are just not enough to list them all. Like last night for example...

Cake with Buttercream Decorating Frosting
Really Great. Stiff enough for roses to hold up and has a nice crust, not too soon but soon enough. I used almost all the milk (after I took some out for the roses) and had a frosting that worked for pipping and spreading. Tastes great also, not super sweet. I had enough to cover 24 cupcakes and 3 single 8" round cakes. And I have some left. This makes a lot.

E-Z Drop Biscuits
Really "E-Z" and very good! I added some garlic powder and dried basil to these and they were awsome for how easy they were. I did use a little extra baking powder and left out the cream of tartar (it's in the baking powder so it's not needed again). They puffed up pretty nicly and were light and flavorful.

Tres Leches Cake
Really good but not worth the effort, to me. I'll just get one at the local Mexican bakery. But for people who can't just go get one, it is very good.
