About this Cook
Born and bred in the United Kingdom, my mum brought me up on home cooked meals and home baked cakes! Until I met my husband (as of June 3rd 2006!)I had never eaten a box meal or a box cake mix. I['m still trying to convert him to the joys of home made food ... not sure I've convinced him yet though!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking! Stil not as good as my mum is but practice makes perfect. I also love experimenting with spices and herbs when cooking main meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mum and dad's bolognese is absolutely divine! It's not strictly Italian, but it's great. We make it to have with spaghetti and in lasagne.
My cooking triumphs
My wedding cake ... well, the cake tiers looked ok when they came out of the oven. Hopefully they taste good too!
My cooking tragedies
Nothing that I can think of at the moment.

Rosemary Shortbread Cookies
I had to cook mine longer than 8 mins to get them done, and managed to over cook them slightly. Nevertheless they tasted great! I will be making these again and experimenting with the timing.
