This was a good Shepherd's pie recipe. Not great- but solidly "good". My son, however, loved it and is begging me to make it again. I think maybe adding some minced garlic would liven it up a bit. Of course, I add garlic to almost anything. THanks for sharing. I'll be making this again.

I was really looking forward to trying out this recipe - after all, it was so easy and had such great reviews. I followed other reviewers' suggestions and sauteed the chicken pieces in olive oil with garlic. Then I spiced it up a bit because it was so bland. I added fresh basil, more minced garlic, italian seasoning, salt and pepper. It's better with the additions - but still - it's just okay at best. Think I'll stick with the boxed pasta salad mixes from now on.

I'm sorry, but I just don't get all the rave reviews. I love all types of chicken and rice dishes and this was too soupy until I read some reviews and decided to add another 3 cups of cooked rice along with 2 cans of Ro-tel tomatoes since I was short on time and on hand ingredients. It was really bland at first not colorful at all. I'll probably end up eating it as will my children since we're not picky eaters, but I'm betting that once my husband gets home he will take one bite and order a pizza.
