I am married to the most wonderful man, mother to 4 fantastic boys and one wonderful little girl. We homeschool our children, which means I stay really busy! My family will tell you that my recipes always change- I am a "little of this and a little of that" kind of cook. I love to cook yummy, fattening foods. I love when people faces light up after I have made something. But.... Because of multiple dietary issues in our family I generally cook incredibly healthy foods that taste good. Christmas cooking! Making my grandmothers recipes every year. I love cooking from recipes of family and friends and telling the kids about the person. It may sound funny, but accomplishing a great meringue! I also was very excited when I got my ganche down pat. My first "from scratch" chicken pot pie! I made the pot pie and it came out of the oven just beautiful. The first bite brought the beauty to a screeching halt :) The potatoes and carrots were rock hard and there were chicken bones left in the mix...ah well, I learned from my mistakes and it comes out tasty now!
