I am a 17 year old high-school student from the Seattle area. Though I am only a beginner, I love to bake. I like to try to bake different types of cakes, cookies, pastries and such. I am working hard to improve :) My family is from Korea, and my mom is a great cook, so she knows many many many different Korean dishes, though I myself am not really big on cooking... No one ever really taught me how to bake. One day, when I was 12 years old or so, my mom and I just decided to start baking those cakes from boxes, though we had never done anything like this before. We barely even have any baking utensils at home (except for what, a few pans and an oven? hahaha) but I still attempt to do my best with what I'm given :). And I'm really proud of myself for having taught myself baking, because though I am not very good, not very many kids at my age can say that they can bake cakes and cookies from scratch.
